I ended 2019 hopeful for a new year, as I’m sure we all did. 2019 had held so many accomplishments and new beginnings for me and my business. I had moved to Pennsylvania, gotten a job nannying, and my business started to really get moving. All I wanted from 2020 was just more growth. So now that it is the end of the year it’s safe to say, as I had last year, 2020 – that’s a wrap.
This past year has obviously produced a unique set of difficulties. With COVID-19 the wedding industry was definitely thrown for a loop. But at the end of the day I think this year really showed the importance and power of love. Weddings are a celebration of two people vowing to commit to one another for the rest of their days. Their love is why everyone is there. So, when couples started to make changes to their day I think in the end it showed what truly mattered.
In fact, it showed ME what truly mattered, even in my own business. I do this job for a reason. I get this beautiful opportunity to capture this incredibly special day. This year showed me more than ever that while the day can hold pretty details and stunning gowns its main focus is love. That is where the pretty pictures come from. My couples.
So what I would like to do is shine a spotlight on my couples. Their dream wedding looked a little different than planned. But they still married their best friend and got to celebrate their love in a more intimate setting.
So, 2020 – that’s a wrap. Let’s give some props to all these couples and how beautiful their love is.
Grace and Michael were married on February 16th, 2020 at the Carlisle Ribbon Mill. This was well before any restrictions played any factor in my couples’ wedding days. So, these two were free to have their family and friends there without issue. This wedding will always be so special to me as my first wedding in PA!

Kristyn and Cody were married on June 6th, 2020 at Weinreich’s Willow Run Farm. This was part one to Kristyn and Cody’s day. They later held their reception two months later at the same venue but I was so excited to be able to shoot both for them! The first one was a small intimate ceremony and the second was their bigger bash! I would check out their full blog post for the AMAZING details they included.
Kayla and Vinny were married on July 25th, 2020 at Whispering Pines of Carlisle. This was a WARM day in the sun but so worth it. Kayla and Vinny were able to safely celebrate their marriage at such a unique venue (I have never seen a ceremony space like this one before!). What a gorgeous couple!!

Karah and John were married on August 8th, 2020 at Rockford Plantation. This day was so warm it was impressive Karah decided to wear her Grandmother’s wedding dress. Karah’s mother and her aunt wore this dress on their wedding days as well. It was a really cool tradition Karah got to continue!
Katie and Chris were married on September 12th, 2020 in Herndon, Virginia. The couple didn’t want to wait a year to be married so they went ahead with a small ceremony. Chris’ parents were able to turn their backyard into a little fairytale. I’ve actually known the family for years so I was honored to be asked to shoot this.
Miranda and Jon were married on September 14th, 2020 at Rosewood Farms. I am excited to blog this wedding in full. There were so many details that just need to be shared! This was also my last big wedding of the year. And it was my last of the year with my second shooter, Anna!

Chelsea and Nick were married on November 14th, 2020 at a small church in Maryland. This was another wedding that was supposed to be larger. Thanks to COVID they pushed their big day off a year and quietly got married with just close family there with them. Chelsea’s mom made her dress and everything.
Kristin and Alex were married on December 27th, 2020 at Fort Hunter. These two are the only people I know who plan an elopement to avoid the COVID crazy to only end up GETTING COVID days before the original date. I’m a regular at their house so they took me down with them. It was worth it in the end, because now they are married and we got pictures like these!
This year was crazy, scary, and difficult. But above all, this year was filled with love. Couples still managed to hold their weddings in some sort of capacity. I am so thankful to have been apart of some of them. Happy New Year, friends.
2020 – That’s a wrap!
