I love that my job includes travel. It is even better when I get to travel to an area close to where I grew up. Matt and Megan met me at Bear’s Den overlook in Bluemont, Virginia. From there we parked and spent about 5 minutes chatting and hiking to their desired location. This is one of those times where I had never been to the location prior to my shoot. Normally, I like to get to a session early and scout out the spot but since this was so specific I felt like it made the most sense to follow the two who had been there before. I was right in waiting. Megan and Matt took me right to the most beautiful, rocky scenic overlook. Outstretched before us were tree covered rolling hills for miles. The view was very much a Virginia view. I could not be more excited to capture this Virginia engagement session with a view.
What was extra special about Megan and Matt was that these two also went to Herndon High School! Megan played soccer with my sister in high school and she knew I was a photographer because of her, too! I always get so excited to work with couples who also went to Herndon.
Relive this session with me please!
YES, you are correct. This girl made the hike to our spot in HEELS. I broke an ankle just seeing her standing in them.
These views!!
Megan and Matt, thank you for the hike and for trusting me with these photos!
