Olivia and Keegan have been together since high school (a common theme for my 2019 couples?)! The two of them went to separate colleges and after 5 years of long distance they came home and got engaged! Following their engagement I got a message from Olivia to shoot their wedding the next year. So began the planning process! Little did I know the gorgeous rustic Virginia farm wedding they were planning would be as spectacular as it was.
The pair planned for their engagement photos to fall exactly 1 year before their wedding. To the day. We spent an afternoon running around beautiful downtown Leesburg taking as many pictures as my card could hold! After that I knew these two were going to be a beautiful bride and groom come wedding day. I had no idea what I had in store for October 5th, 2019!
The day had finally come, their wedding was here! My second and I arrived to find an adorable renovated farm: 48 Fields. There, Olivia and Keegan’s planners at White Dress Black Tie were hard at work putting all the little details into their day. I mean, when you see the pictures you will agree, they totally crushed this wedding. When Olivia had described their style to me earlier that year, I was so excited to walk into this rustic Virginia farm wedding in awe. I could not have expected to be as completely blown away as I was!
In the getting ready house there was plenty going on. The groom and his friends were getting ready slowly and just upstairs the women were putting on their finishing touches. Both groups were happy, excited, and emotional as they got ready to celebrate Olivia and Keegan’s day!
What I came to find out later is that the night before held a small snafu! Two bridesmaids dresses were not the right shade of blue. The girls told me how they managed to get a hold to TWO dresses from other girls in the area they had found on FACEBOOK who had the right shade, style and size dress for them to borrow. At 9pm, the night before the wedding. How crazy is that?!
That, however, was the only issue the day had. From start to finish the day went by so smoothly! How beautiful their details were! Every moment was thought of and purposeful. The couple had a beautiful moment before the ceremony in what I am now dubbing a “Blind First Look”. I seriously could go on and on about all the love that this day had, but I think, yet again, I need to let the pictures do the talking!
*WARNING: TEARS ALERT* Seriously, I cried pulling these up just now… months later!
I could add more… BUT I don’t want to overwhelm you! This wedding was to die for and I am beyond honored to have been given the opportunity to capture these two and their love, friends, and family!
To many many more years, Olivia and Keegan!!
xoxo,
Katie
